Just a short post here, I’ve recently had some information passed on to me regarding a rumour of the release date of the iPhone 5. It hasn’t been confirmed but the information originated from o2 business, who seem to be expecting the iPhone 5 in November 2011.
Personally I still believe September/October is a more realistic release date but yet again we will have to wait and see until some firm confirmation is announced.

I find this odd as O2 don’t get any info as to when apple products will be released (at employee or management level anyway). where did you get the info from? if it was a member of staff in a contact center it will be purely speculation.
I spoke with O2 last week as my contract is up for renewal in July, I thought I would ask the question about the iphone 5 and the customer support representative said release date of mid June.

Yea we did notice that Joe, also we are aware that all apple stores worldwide are having a highly important meeting on Sunday the 22nd May, we are unsure what exactly will be announced at this meeting, hopes are for an iPhone 5 release date.
Lets see what is coming.
I think maybe we will see an iPhone 4s first? or has it been confirmed that iphone 5 will be the next modell?

i work for o2 and no one has a clue about a release date. If they tell you they do they are lying to you.
O2 didnt have a clue when thew iphone 4 was released and it caused a nightmare. Apple are in a unique postion because of the popularity of the device they dont have to give a release date and because sites like this build the hype for them. You all essentially work for apple without getting paid.
In the meantime you should all GET A LIFE and find yourselves a little because it’s a gadget and when you’re on your death bed you’re not going to think, ” i’m glad i got that iphone 5 it made me fulfilled”. Nope, you’re more likely to think there was more to life and you missed out because you interacted more with a smart phone than you did with the people around you.

I work for Apple Logistics and there has not been a peep as to when the release date is so the likelihood of O2 knowing is very unrealistic!
